About Tic-Tac-Toe
Tic-tac-toe is the classic pen-and-paper game where two players take turns marking X and O on a 3x3 grid, and the first to line up three in a row — across, down, or diagonally — wins. This version brings that whole game into your browser, with no app to install and no need to search Google to find a board. Tap an empty cell to place your mark, and the game instantly checks every row, column, and diagonal, calls the win or draw, and highlights the winning line so there's no arguing over who got three in a row.
You can play two ways. Pick 2 Players to pass one phone, tablet, or laptop back and forth with a friend, with X always going first. Or switch to 1 Player to face the computer, which runs the minimax algorithm and plays a mathematically perfect game — the most you can pull off against it is a draw. In 1 Player mode you also choose whether you play as X and move first or as O and let the computer open. A running scoreboard tallies X wins, O wins, and draws across every round, so you can keep a series going; New Game clears the board, and Reset Scores wipes the tally.
Everything happens on your device. There's no sign-up, no ads to click through, and none of your moves or scores are ever uploaded to a server.
