Developer

JSON, regex, hashes, encoders, formatters and generators.

Developer tools cover the small, frequent jobs of writing and debugging code: formatting, encoding, hashing, testing, and generating values. You can tidy JSON, encode or decode Base64 and URLs, generate a UUID or a strong password, build a hash, test a regular expression, and decode a JWT to read its contents. There are minifiers for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, a color picker, and a cron expression generator. Handy for developers, students, and anyone who just needs a quick, reliable utility.

Frequently asked questions

Are the developer tools free and account-free?
Yes. The developer tools here are free to use, with no account, no sign-up, and no usage limits, so you can format, encode, or generate as often as you need. There is no paid tier gating any of them.
Do I need to install anything or use the command line?
No. These tools run in a normal web browser on desktop or mobile, so there is nothing to install and no command line required. They are a quick alternative when you would rather not reach for a local script or package.
Is it safe to paste code, tokens, or passwords into these tools?
Most of these tools run in your browser, so the JSON, tokens, or text you paste are processed on your own device rather than handled elsewhere. The JWT Decoder, for example, reads a token locally so you can inspect it. Even so, treat any real secret with care and avoid pasting live production credentials into any online tool.
Which tool should I use for which task?
Use the JSON Formatter to read messy JSON, the Regex Tester to check a pattern, and the JWT Decoder to inspect a token's payload. For values, use the UUID Generator, Password Generator, or Hash Generator; for encoding, use Base64 or URL Encode / Decode. For front-end work, grab a hex value from the Color Picker and shrink files with the HTML, CSS, and JS Minifiers. The Cron Generator builds a schedule expression.
