About Memory Match

Memory Match is a classic concentration card game you play right in your browser. A grid of face-down cards hides shuffled emoji pairs. Flip two at a time: matches stay face up, mismatches flip back after a short pause. Pick a difficulty, race the clock, and clear the whole board in as few moves as possible.

It is completely free with no sign-up, no ads, and no limits. The game runs entirely on your device using plain JavaScript, so there is nothing to install and nothing is ever uploaded. Refresh or hit New Game any time for a freshly shuffled board.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Memory Match game free to use?
Yes, it is 100% free with no account, no sign-up, and no usage limits. You can play as many rounds as you like at any difficulty.
Is any of my data uploaded or tracked?
No. The entire game runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. No moves, times, or scores are sent to a server, and nothing is stored or uploaded anywhere.
How do you play the memory matching game?
Click a face-down card to flip it, then flip a second card. If the two emojis match, they stay face up. If they do not match, they flip back over after a brief moment. Keep going until every pair is found and the board is cleared.
What difficulty levels are available?
You can choose Easy (a 4×4 grid of 8 pairs), Medium (a 6×4 grid of 12 pairs), or Hard (a 6×6 grid of 18 pairs). The cards are freshly shuffled each time you start a new game.
How are moves and time counted?
A move is counted each time you flip a second card and a pair is compared. The timer starts on your first flip and stops the instant you match the final pair, so you can try to beat your own best time and move count.
Does it work on mobile and in dark mode?
Yes. The board is responsive and touch-friendly, and the cards use theme-neutral styling that stays readable in both light and dark mode.
