- How is engagement rate calculated?
- Engagement rate is total interactions divided by your audience size, times 100. This tool adds likes, comments, and shares or saves, then divides by followers (or by reach, if you enter it) and multiplies by 100 to get a percentage.
- What is a good engagement rate?
- For most accounts, 1–3% is typical and healthy. Between 3% and 6% is strong, and anything above 6% is excellent. Rates under 1% are common for very large accounts but usually leave room to grow.
- What is the difference between rate by followers and rate by reach?
- Rate by followers divides interactions by your total follower count. Rate by reach divides by the number of people who actually saw the post, so it is usually higher and reflects how compelling the content was to those it reached.
