- Is my data uploaded or stored anywhere?
- No. All calculations happen locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your line items, prices, discounts, and client details are never sent to or stored on any server, so everything stays private on your device.
- How is the discount applied — before or after tax?
- The discount is subtracted from the subtotal first, then tax is calculated on the discounted amount. This matches how most quotes and invoices handle it, so the tax reflects the price the customer actually pays.
- Can I use a percentage discount or a fixed dollar amount?
- Both. Use the discount type dropdown to switch between a percentage (for example 10% off) and a fixed amount (for example $50 off). The summary updates instantly either way.
- How is each line's amount calculated?
- Each line amount is simply the quantity multiplied by the unit price. All the line amounts add up to the subtotal, which then has the discount and tax applied to reach the final total.
- Can I add or remove line items?
- Yes. Click 'Add line item' to insert a new row, and use the ✕ button to remove any row you don't need. You can build a quote with as many items as the job requires.
