About Photo Filters

Photo Filters lets you drop in a picture and apply popular looks like Vivid, Black & White, Sepia, Vintage, Warm, Cool, Fade, Dramatic, Noir, Sunset and Invert with one click. Every preset is a starting point: eight sliders (brightness, contrast, saturation, grayscale, sepia, hue rotate, invert and blur) let you fine-tune the effect until it looks right. The preview updates live so you always see the exact result before you save.

The tool runs entirely in your browser using the HTML Canvas API. Your photo is read locally and never uploaded to a server, so it works offline and keeps your images private. When you download, the current filter is baked into a full-resolution PNG that matches the preview pixel for pixel.

A few honest limits: filters are non-destructive color and tone adjustments (like Instagram-style filters), not AI edits, retouching or object removal. Output is always PNG, and very large images depend on your device's memory. Animated GIFs are flattened to a single frame.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is loaded and processed entirely in your browser with the Canvas API. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is private and works offline once the page has loaded.
What image formats can I use?
You can load JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF (GIFs are flattened to one frame). The filtered result is always downloaded as a PNG so the quality and transparency are preserved.
Does downloading reduce the quality?
No. The filter is applied at the image's full native resolution and exported as a lossless PNG, so the download matches the live preview exactly with no extra compression.
Can I combine presets with manual adjustments?
Yes. Click a preset to set a base look, then move any of the eight sliders to fine-tune brightness, contrast, saturation, sepia, hue and more. Use Reset to return to the original at any time.
Is this the same as AI photo editing?
No. These are classic color and tone filters, similar to social-media filters. It does not use AI to add, remove or retouch content, upscale, or change what is in the photo.
Is it really free with no sign-up?
Yes. There is no account, watermark, upload or paywall. Load a photo, filter it and download it as many times as you like.
