About GPA Calculator
The GPA Calculator turns a list of courses into a single grade point average in seconds. Add a row for each class, choose its letter grade from A+ down to F, and type in the credit hours. The tool multiplies each grade's point value by its credits, adds everything up, and divides by your total credits to show a weighted GPA on the standard 4.0 scale — recalculating live as you type, with no sign-up and no cap on how many courses you add.
Because it works from plain letter grades and credit hours, the same calculator handles a college GPA, a high school GPA, or a single term's grades. Enter one semester's classes for a semester GPA, or list every course you have taken across multiple semesters to get your cumulative, overall, or final GPA in one number. Leave the course name blank when you just want a quick estimate — only the grade and a valid credit-hour value are needed for a class to count. A running total of credits sits next to the result so you can sanity-check your entries.
Beyond a straight average it does two more things. Turn on Weighted to tag each class Regular, Honors (+0.5) or AP/IB (+1.0) and see the boosted GPA your harder courses actually earn — which is how a weighted GPA can climb above 4.0. And switch to "What GPA do I need?" to run the math backward: enter your current GPA, the credits you've completed, a goal GPA and your remaining credits, and it returns the exact average you'd have to earn from here, honestly flagging when a target isn't reachable on a 4.0 scale. You can also drop in a prior cumulative GPA and credits to fold this term into your overall number.

- Can I add or remove courses?
