About Flashcard Generator
Build a deck of study flashcards in seconds. Add term and definition pairs one at a time, or paste a whole list with lines like "term - definition" and import them all at once. Then flip into Study mode to review each card on its own.
Study mode shows one card that flips between the term and its definition when you click it, with Next, Previous, Shuffle, a mark-known toggle, and a live progress counter. It is completely free and runs entirely in your browser.

- Is the flashcard generator free?
- Yes, it is completely free with no sign-up, account, or limits. Make as many cards and decks as you want.
- Is my data uploaded anywhere?
- No. Every card you create stays in your browser and is never sent to a server. Nothing you type is uploaded, stored, or shared.
- How do I paste a list of flashcards?
- Put one card per line in the bulk box using a separator between the term and definition — a dash (term - definition), tab, colon, equals sign, or pipe all work. Then click Import lines.
- How does Study mode work?
- It shows one card at a time. Click the card to flip between the term and its definition, use Next and Previous to move through the deck, Shuffle to randomize the order, and Mark known to track what you have learned. A counter like 3 / 12 shows your progress.
- Are my flashcards saved after I close the tab?
- No. This tool keeps everything in memory only, so your cards clear when you reload or close the tab. Finish your study session in one sitting, or rebuild your deck next time.
- Can I edit or delete cards?
- Yes. Every card in your list has a delete button, and you can toggle whether each one is marked known. Add new cards any time before you start studying.
