- Is my product data uploaded or stored anywhere?
- No. The tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your prefixes, attributes, and generated SKUs are never sent to a server, saved, or shared, so everything stays private on your device.
- How does it create the SKU codes?
- It builds the cartesian product of your attribute lists. Every color is combined with every size (and any other attributes), joined to your prefix and an optional running number using your chosen separator, producing one unique SKU per combination.
- Can I download the SKUs as a CSV or Excel file?
- Yes. Click Download CSV to save a spreadsheet with a SKU column plus one column per attribute and the running number. The CSV opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or import tools for Shopify and Amazon.
- What is zero-padding and why would I use it?
- Zero-padding pads the running number with leading zeros to a fixed width, so a width of 3 turns 1 into 001. It keeps SKUs the same length and sorts them correctly in spreadsheets and inventory systems.
- How many attributes and SKUs can I generate?
- You can add up to six attribute lists, such as color, size, material, and style. Combinations are capped at 20,000 SKUs to keep the tool fast and responsive in your browser.
