About Trim Video
Trim Video cuts a clip out of a video by start and end time — right in your browser. Choose a fast cut (keeps the original quality, no re-encoding) or a precise frame-accurate cut, then download the trimmed clip.
It runs an in-browser build of ffmpeg, so your video never leaves your device. It's free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it free to use?
- Yes — it's completely free with no sign-up, no watermark, and no limits.
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. It runs an in-browser build of ffmpeg, so your file is processed entirely on your own device and never uploaded.
- Why does the first run take a moment?
- The first time, it downloads a ~32 MB processing engine. That's cached afterwards, so later runs start instantly.
- What's the difference between fast and precise?
- Fast cut copies the video without re-encoding, so it's quick but starts at the nearest keyframe. Precise re-encodes so the cut lands exactly on your chosen frame, at the cost of some speed.
- How do I enter the times?
- Type seconds (e.g. 12) or minutes and seconds (e.g. 1:05) for both the start and the end of the section you want to keep.
