This screen recorder captures your screen, a single window, or a browser tab directly in your browser using your device's built-in screen-capture and MediaRecorder features. You can record silently, add your microphone to narrate, and include system or tab audio when your browser and share choice allow it. A live timer, pause and resume, and an instant preview let you check the result before saving.
Everything happens locally on your computer. The video is never uploaded to a server, there is no account, and nothing is watermarked. When you press stop, the recording is assembled into a file (usually WebM, or MP4 on browsers that prefer it) that you can play back and download with one click.
Because it relies on standard browser capture, it works on desktop Chrome, Edge, and Firefox; support and audio options vary by browser, and screen capture is generally not available on phones. System audio in particular depends on the browser and on your ticking the relevant "share audio" box in the share dialog. If a recording comes out silent or empty, that is almost always the browser's capture permission rather than the tool.

- Is my recording uploaded anywhere?
- No. Capture, encoding, preview, and download all run inside your browser on your own device. The video file is created locally and only saved when you click download. Nothing is sent to any server and there is no account or tracking of the content.
- How do I record sound from the screen or a video?
- When the browser's share dialog appears, choose a tab or your whole screen and tick the 'Share tab audio' or 'Share system audio' checkbox, and leave 'Include system audio' selected here. System-audio capture is best supported in Chrome and Edge; Firefox and Safari are more limited.
- Can I record my voice at the same time?
- Yes. Set Microphone to 'Record my voice' before you start, and allow microphone access when prompted. Your mic is mixed with any system audio. If the mic is blocked, the recording continues without it.
- What file format do I get?
- Most browsers produce a WebM file (VP9 or VP8 video with Opus audio); some produce MP4. WebM plays in modern browsers and most media players, and can be converted to MP4 with a separate converter if you need it for editing software.
- Why is there no sound or an empty file?
- An empty file usually means capture was cancelled or blocked. Silent audio almost always means the 'share audio' box was not ticked in the browser dialog, or the mic permission was denied. Start again and confirm the audio options before recording.
- Does it work on my phone?
- Screen recording relies on the browser's getDisplayMedia feature, which is generally unavailable on mobile browsers. Use a desktop or laptop with an up-to-date Chrome, Edge, or Firefox for reliable results.
