- Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
- No. The photo is read on your own device and never sent to a server. That matters here, because EXIF can include the exact GPS coordinates where a photo was taken — reading it locally keeps that private.
- How do I use it?
- Open a photo and the tool lists every EXIF field it finds — camera, settings, date and location. There is nothing to set up; the details appear straight away.
- Can it show where a photo was taken?
- If the photo stored GPS coordinates, yes — it shows the latitude and longitude. Many photos have location saved turned off, though, so that field is often empty.
- Why are some fields missing or blank?
- EXIF only shows what the camera or app actually wrote into the file. Screenshots, web images and photos shared through some apps often have their metadata stripped, so there may be little to display. This tool reads metadata but does not add or edit it.
