It works no matter which order you enter the dates, using the absolute difference, and clearly tells you whether the final day is counted.

- Is my data uploaded or stored anywhere?
- No. The entire calculation runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. The dates you enter are never sent to a server, saved, or shared, so your information stays private on your device.
- Does it count the end day in the total?
- By default the end day is not counted, so Monday to Friday is 4 days. Tick the "count the end day too" box to include it, which makes that same span 5 days. The tool always shows which mode you are using.
- Does the order of the dates matter?
- No. The tool uses the absolute difference, so it does not matter whether you put the earlier or later date first. It will always show a positive span and note when the dates were entered out of order.
- How is the years, months and days breakdown calculated?
- It counts full calendar years first, then whole months, then the leftover days, accounting for different month lengths and leap years. This gives a calendar-accurate breakdown that matches the total number of days shown.
- How do you calculate the total number of weeks?
- The total weeks are simply the total days divided by seven. The tool shows both the exact decimal value and a whole-weeks-plus-remaining-days view so you can read it whichever way is more useful.
