About Resize PDF
This tool changes the page dimensions of a PDF. Pick a standard size — A4, US Letter, Legal, A3, A5, or Tabloid — and every page is rebuilt at that size. Each page's existing content is scaled proportionally to fit the new dimensions and centered, so nothing is stretched out of shape or cropped off the edge. Any space left over becomes an even white margin.
You can keep each page's original orientation (portrait pages stay portrait, landscape stay landscape) or force everything to portrait or landscape. This is useful for making a mixed-size document consistent, fitting a document to your printer's paper, or standardizing scans before combining them.
Everything runs locally in your browser using the pdf-lib library — your file is never uploaded to a server. Note this tool changes the page size, not the file's byte size; because content is drawn as a vector, resizing typically won't shrink a large file. Password-protected PDFs can't be opened here.

- No. This tool changes the page dimensions (for example from Letter to A4), not the file's storage size. The original page content is embedded as vectors, so the file size usually stays about the same. It is meant for resizing pages, not compressing files.
- Will my content get stretched or cut off?
- No. Each page is scaled proportionally so it fits entirely inside the new page size, then centered. Aspect ratio is preserved, so nothing is distorted or cropped — extra space just becomes a white margin.
- What page sizes can I resize to?
- A4, US Letter, US Legal, A3, A5, and Tabloid (11x17). You can keep each page's orientation, or force the whole document to portrait or landscape.
- Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
- No. The whole process runs inside your browser. Your file never leaves your device and nothing is sent to a server, so it works even offline once the page has loaded.
- Why won't it open my PDF?
- The most common reason is that the PDF is password-protected or encrypted, which can't be edited in the browser. Open it in a PDF viewer, choose Print then Save as PDF to make an unprotected copy, and try again. Corrupted or non-PDF files will also be rejected.
- Does it work with multi-page PDFs?
- Yes. Every page in the document is resized to your chosen size in one pass, and you download a single resized PDF.
