What is equivalent to an LR44 battery?
The same 11.6 × 5.4 mm cell is sold as AG13, A76, L1154 and GPA76 (alkaline), and as 357, SR44 and 303 (silver-oxide). Silver-oxide holds a steadier 1.55 V, which is better for meters and calipers.
Is a 357 battery the same as an LR44?
They're the same size and swap physically. The difference is chemistry: 357/SR44 is silver-oxide (1.55 V, flatter discharge) and LR44 is alkaline (1.5 V) — either works in most toys, but precision devices prefer silver-oxide.
Can I use a CR2032 in place of an LIR2032?
Be careful — they're the same size but a CR2032 is a 3.0 V primary (single-use) cell and an LIR2032 is a 3.6 V rechargeable. Putting a 3.6 V rechargeable where a 3.0 V primary belongs can damage the device, and a CR2032 must never go in a charger.
What is an AG13 battery equivalent to?

Is it always safe to swap equivalent batteries?
Only when the size AND voltage match. Physically fitting isn't enough — check the voltage and chemistry, and never substitute a rechargeable lithium cell for a primary one of the same size.
