About Crypto Profit Calculator

This crypto profit calculator works out the profit or loss on a trade from your buy price, sell price, position size, and exchange fees. Enter either the dollars you invested or the quantity of coins you hold, add your buy and sell prices, and it shows net profit, return on investment (ROI), your multiple on cost, total fees paid, and the break-even sell price you need to clear to come out ahead.

The math is transparent. When you enter dollars invested, that figure is treated as your full cash outlay including the buy fee, so the coin quantity is derived as investment ÷ (buy price × (1 + buy fee)). Net proceeds subtract the sell fee from your gross sale, and ROI is profit divided by total cost. Fees are applied as a percentage of each side of the trade — leave them at 0 if you paid none.

The calculator does not fetch live prices; you supply every number, which keeps it accurate to your actual trade and completely private. All calculation runs in your browser with no network calls, no uploads, and no sign-up. Results are an estimate for planning and record-keeping and are not tax or investment advice.

Frequently asked questions

How is crypto profit calculated?
Profit equals your net sale proceeds minus your total cost. Total cost is coins × buy price plus the buy fee; net proceeds is coins × sell price minus the sell fee. ROI is that profit divided by total cost, shown as a percentage.
Do I enter dollars invested or number of coins?
Either. Use the dropdown to switch. In dollars mode the amount is treated as your full cash outlay including the buy fee, and the tool derives how many coins that buys. In quantity mode you enter the coins directly and it computes cost from your buy price.
Does it include exchange trading fees?
Yes. You can set a separate buy fee and sell fee as percentages, and both are subtracted so the profit, ROI, and break-even price reflect what you actually keep. Set them to 0 if you paid no fees.
What is the break-even sell price?
It is the price per coin at which your net sale proceeds exactly equal your total cost, so you neither gain nor lose. Selling above it produces a profit after fees; selling below it is a loss.
Does it use live crypto prices?
No. You enter your own buy and sell prices, which makes the result exact to your trade and keeps it fully offline. Nothing is fetched from an exchange.
Is my data private?
Yes. Every calculation happens locally in your browser. No figures are sent to a server, stored, or shared, and there is no sign-up.
