About Trim Audio
Trim Audio cuts a section out of an audio file by start and end time — right in your browser. Upload an MP3, WAV, M4A or other file, set the range, and download the trimmed audio in its original format.
It runs an in-browser build of ffmpeg, so your audio is processed on your own device and never uploaded. It's free, with no sign-up.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it free to use?
- Yes — it's completely free with no sign-up, no watermark, and no limits.
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. It runs an in-browser build of ffmpeg, so your file is processed entirely on your own device and never uploaded.
- Why does the first run take a moment?
- The first time, it downloads a ~32 MB processing engine. That's cached afterwards, so later runs start instantly.
- Which audio formats are supported?
- Common formats including MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, FLAC and Opus. The trimmed file keeps the original format.
- How do I set the start and end?
- Enter the times as seconds (e.g. 30) or minutes and seconds (e.g. 0:30). The tool keeps everything between them.
