About Trim Audio

Trim Audio cuts a section out of an audio file by start and end time — right in your browser. Upload an MP3, WAV, M4A or other file, set the range, and download the trimmed audio in its original format.

It runs an in-browser build of ffmpeg, so your audio is processed on your own device and never uploaded. It's free, with no sign-up.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free to use?
Yes — it's completely free with no sign-up, no watermark, and no limits.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. It runs an in-browser build of ffmpeg, so your file is processed entirely on your own device and never uploaded.
Why does the first run take a moment?
The first time, it downloads a ~32 MB processing engine. That's cached afterwards, so later runs start instantly.
Which audio formats are supported?
Common formats including MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, FLAC and Opus. The trimmed file keeps the original format.
How do I set the start and end?
Enter the times as seconds (e.g. 30) or minutes and seconds (e.g. 0:30). The tool keeps everything between them.
